Critics love the new Baz Luhrman flick “Australia”, but they hate its star Nicole Kidman!
One critic put it most harshly, saying that Nicole “drifts around films like a lost porcelain doll, looking frozen, brittle and vapid, staring at the camera with her oh-golly-look-how-I’m-looking-interesting blue eyes” and is “exquisitely accomplished at being awful.”
Ouch! Good thing Nic has Sunday and Keith to console her! Here she is at the film’s premiere in — you guessed it — Australia, with that hubby of hers in the background.

I was lucky enough to be in the audience for the Oprah preview and I thought she was great. The character of Sarah is pretty one dimensional in the beginning and she plays it perfectly. You see her start to melt and by the end of the film I thought she was believable.
