DMX speeds back into jail

Rapper DMX — can we still call him a rapper if he hasn’t released anything in forever? Maybe dog abuser or bad driver are more apt titles — was arrested at his Cave Creek, Arizona home earlier today after cops caught him on tape driving at speeds up to 114 miles per hour on the Loop 101 freeway.
Portions of the freeway are equipped with speed cameras that snap pictures of anyone going faster than the posted 65 MPH speed limit. DMZ — real name Earl Simmons — was caught in January, but charges just finished processing. The above snapshot shows DMX speeding that night.
“Mr. Simmons wasn’t signaled out because of his notoriety, we have made several arrests in the last few months of those people who flagrantly violate the speed limit and therefore endanger the lives of everyone else on the road,” Roger Vanderpool, director of the Arizona Department of Public Safety, said in a statement.
He obviously wasn’t racing home to take care of his dogs. Simmons is still under investigation by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for animal abuse eight months after a raid turned up dead and starving dogs, guns and drugs.
