It pays to be a witch. Emma Watson, who plays Hermione in the Harry Potter movie series, hit the jackpot on her 18th birthday Tuesday — she was given full access to her Harry Potter fortune, worth a reported $20 million.
But Emma’s parents are no fools and refuse to see their daughter blow through her cash a la Lindsay Lohan. They marched the teen down to Coutts bank — the same peeps that manage the Queen’s money — and had her take serious lessons on such money management topics as investing, basic economics and philanthropy so she won’t blow her stash on leggings and coke.
Will it work? Only time will tell, but she’s got that gleam in her eye like she’s gonna hop on that shiny silver V8 Mercedes Broomstick she saw on the interwebs.

Eminem has been too busy fighting the flab lately to perform, but that’s all about to change. The Em is scheduled to perform at the 90th birthday party of Nelson Mandela!
A guy who writes songs about murdering his wife and stuffing her body in the trunk of his car is a perfect choice to celebrate the life of a human rights champion. Obviously.
A source said, “We’re amazed to have Eminem on board. We wanted some of the greatest artists from recent times and Eminem was on the list.”
Ooh, maybe they’ll sing “Ebony and Ivory.”

Turning 38 can be difficult for a lot of men, because it means that the big 4-0 is looming just around the corner.
Celebrating his 38th birthday today is an actor in Vince Vaughn — who is hardly having a tough time. The actor is currently enjoying a wave of success that began with “Swingers.”

The comic actor, for one, is becoming the new star of Christmas. After his “Fred Claus” swept up at the box office last winter, Vince Vaughn will be making holiday magic again — this time with Reese Witherspoon, when the duo stars in the upcoming comedy “Four Christmases.”
A story of a married couple forced to spend Christmas with two sets of divorced parents is just the latest in a string of successes for the actor of late. His “Wild West” comedy tour and its subsequent documentary film were huge hits — and as a friend of Will Farrell, Owen Wilson and the rest of the Frat Pack, he may blow out the candles on that birthday cake today… but Vince Vaughn’s lights will keep burning bright.
Happy Birthday, Vince!
