Ryan Phillippe and his hot old piece

June 6th, 2008 by Caroline

Ryan Phillippe

Remember two years ago when Reese Witherspoon unceremoniously dumped hubby Ryan Phillippe amidst allegations of his infidelity with “Stop Loss” costar Abbie Cornish? And remember how it was denied, denied, denied?

We are here to say that Ryan Phillippe is a lying liar. Because he has been seeing Abbie secretly for the last two years, and the couple finally seems ready to go public. Ryan accompanied Abbie to the Australians in Film awards, where she was honored as a breakthrough talent, then hit Teddy’s at The Roosevelt. “They were very close all night,” said a source.

Hope he got nothing from Reese in the divorce.

Kenny Chesney is not engaged

June 5th, 2008 by Caroline

Kenny Chesney

Despite the fact that gay marriage is now legal in California, country singer (and non-gay man, he swears) Kenny Chesney is not engaged. After the fraud that was his marriage to Renee Zellweger, he is perfectly content to stay single.

Kenny’s spokesperson said, “Kenny Chesney is not getting married. He’s not engaged. He’s not planning on being engaged any time in the near future. In fact, he was surprised by the news and isn’t sure how or why anyone would’ve gotten that idea.”

Bill Murray divorce drama

May 30th, 2008 by Caroline

Bill Murray

Jennifer Butler Murray, wife of Bill Murray for more than ten years, says in divorce request papers filed May 12 that the actor beat her, cheated on her and abandoned her. Oh, and he also is addicted to pot, sex and booze, she says. Sounds like a catch!

According to the court report, Jennifer stated that she moved out of the couple’s home that they shared with their four kids in 2006 to escape Bill’s abuse, and that in November 2007 Bill “hit his wife in the face and then told her she was ‘lucky he didn’t kill her.’ ”

Jennifer is asking for a restraining order and a re-examination of the couple’s prenup, which stipulated she would receive $7 million in case of divorce.

George Clooney is single again

May 28th, 2008 by Lausann Gelez

Just when we thought Georgie Boy was getting close to tying the knot, he fakes us out and breaks up with the gorgeous girl he’s been with for a year. Yes: George Clooney is single again (and though we don’t know the circumstances behind their split, we suppose his former paramour, Sarah Larson, is single, too).

Above: George Clooney with Sarah Larson at the
“Leatherheads” World Premiere in Hollywood on March 31.

Maybe George decided to heed the advice left for him early last month: “Dude, your friends asked me to give you a message: Dump the bitch before you’re sorry!” (See the story of the mystery phone call here.) Guess some Hollywood types weren’t so up on the idea of a former Vegas cocktail waitress hangin’ with the A-list actor. Or maybe their issues stemmed from the couples’ 18-year age difference…

Denise Richards fires back at Charlie Sheen — again

May 23rd, 2008 by Caroline

Denise Richards

The Charlie Sheen/Denise Richards situation is pretty much the greatest feud since Krystle and Alexis on Dynasty. Denise is denying Charlie’s denials over the sperm request email.

She told Page Six, “I don’t want Charlie’s prostitute-tranny-infested sperm. I have two beautiful kids. We’ll leave it at that. I am so over him. He’s the one who can’t move on. He’s disgusting and he’s hit an all-time low.”

“Last week, I sent Charlie a text message asking him if he’s going to Family Day [for daughter Sam’s school] and letting him know Sam was sick with a cold,” she continued. “His response was, ‘I hope you and your worthless retarded father get cancer and join your stupid mom. Rot in hell you [bleeping] whore.’ My mom died of cancer. This is what I deal with on a weekly basis.”

How much do you think the therapy bills for those poor kids will add up to?

Shania Twain divorce: another woman?

May 21st, 2008 by Caroline

Shania Twain

Whose bed have Mutt Lange’s boots been under? That’s what Shania wants to know, and is key in the reason behind the music power couple’s divorce.

A source close to the couple reports that Mutt has been “involved” with the couple’s longtime secretary — and manager of their Swiss home — Marie Ann Thiébaud. Who is also married. Hey, they don’t have such hang-ups about sex in Europe.

Mutt is obv in the doghouse over this news, but he is angrily denying the affair. “It’s absolutely not the reason [for the separation],” he told People. “It’s not true.”

Only time — and divorce court — will tell.

Soon-to-be yummy mummy Jessica Alba secretly wed Cash Warren, the father of her unborn child, in a low-key ceremony on Monday. Alba, 27, and Warren, 31, are expecting their first child, a daughter, this summer.

Jessica Alba met Cash Warren, son of actor Michael Warren, in 2004 while filming The Fantastic Four, where Warren was working as an assistant to the film’s director. Cash Warren proposed to Jessica Alba with a five-carat diamond ring in late 2007 after the media spotted an expanding baby bump on the usually pin thin actress.

Ellen Degeneres and Portia De Rossi engaged

May 17th, 2008 by Caroline

Talk show host Ellen Degeneres and actress girlfriend Portia De Rossi are getting hitched! Ellen announced the news on her show Friday.

The state of California overturned its ban on gay marriage earlier this week, stating that the state constitution does not support such a ban. Now all the fab loves can wed! Does this mean Selma Hayek will leave her baby daddy and be with her one true love, Penelope Cruz?

Ellen told The Advocate:

I’m thrilled that the California Supreme Court overturned the ban on gay marriage. I can’t wait to get married. We all deserve the same rights, and I believe that someday we’ll look back on this and not allowing gays to marry will seem as absurd as not allowing women to vote.

P.S. I’m registered at Crate & Barrel.

Congrats, Ellen!
