Mariah Carey is launching her second Elizabeth Arden fragrance. Luscious Pink will be the scent that’s technically a floral melody and will launch in department stores this August. The platinum recording artist and Grammy winner says the scent is “feminine, flirtatious and fun.”

What a year it’s been for Miss M! After her whirlwind romance with husband Nick Cannon (did we mention that rock?), her new fragrance is merely another venture with the sweet things in her life, including her success on the charts.

Since he’s going to divorce her in six months and take all her money anyway, Mariah Carey figures she’d better milk this wedding thing with Nick Cannon for all she can. Mariah Carey plans on throwing a huge, blowout wedding celebration in NYC.

According to a source, “It’s going to be held in New York City in the next six weeks. Picture a wedding on the scale of Liza Minnelli’s (to David Gest) and you’ll be on the right track.”

OMG maybe they’ll get Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor to stand up for them! How rad would that be?

“She wants over 2,000 guests and the budget will be well over $4 million and she’ll have at least 14 bridesmaids,” the source continued.

She should call Celine Dion. Celine is an old hat at throwing wedding shindigs like this for herself. She’s done like four, all for the same marriage.

Mariah Carey and new hubby Nick Cannon made their first public appearance as an old married couple last night in New York. Although the pair has remained mum to all but People magazine about their nuptials, we’ll take this major bling as confirmation!

Mariah’s gonna need that ring — she’ll have to hock it to pay her shoe bills when Cannon takes her 400,000 square foot New York apartment in the divorce next month.

Hide the children. Mariah Carey was on Good Morning America today and her performance was riddled with technical difficulties. Of course it wasn’t Mariah’s fault; she was perfection, as usual.

First her backing track started too early. She tried to catch up, but it was awkward for the first minute or so. Then, about three minutes in, one of her background singers starts singing Mariah’s part! Oh noes! Mariah changes the lyrics to her own song and sings at the dead girl walking, “Stop singing my part, baby.” It’s not the first time this has happened — the same singer made the same deadly mistake during Mariah’s American Idol appearance.

Fool Mariah once, shame on you. Fool Mariah twice, she’ll cut you up and feed you to her dog. Diane Sawyer better hide.

I would never count myself as a Mariah Carey fan, but I can admit — the girl’s pretty. And I know that millions of people think she’s drop-dead gorgeous.

All of which makes Allure magazine’s decision to airbrush all the personality out of her photo of this month’s issue totally baffling. They didn’t make it look better, and it hardly even looks like Ms Glitter anymore.
