Canadian “fashion” model Jayde Nicole has been named the 2008 Playboy Playmate of the Year by fabulously dirty old man Hugh Hefner. (Can one be considered a fashion model when your major modeling claim to fame involves no clothes at all?)

Wearing what appears to be a slutty Halloween costume of Strawberry Shortcake’s friend Plum Puddin’ (original 80’s version, natch) the poor man’s Jennifer Tilly posed in front of her brand new Cadillac CTS at the Playboy mansion during a lunch thrown in her honor. Jayde will also enjoy $100,00 prize money and an 11-page nude spread in an upcoming issue of the magazine.

On the Playboy website, Jayde lists her turn-ons as “Intelligence, honesty, politeness, hopeless romantics and someone who is really into music. And nice eyes help,” and her turn-offs as “Liars, rude people, arrogance, people who are fake, bad hygiene and anyone who is mean to animals.”

Who is this guy? You’ve probably seen Brit actor Russell Brand on this side of the pond in the flicks Penelope and the new release Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but he’s been all over British television for quite a while.

He was also all over no less than three different women in a club last weekend — a club that is now talking of banning him because they caught him trying to get it on with the chicas at different times in the bathroom.

What he hasn’t been all over, apparently, is a good hairbrush.

Evan Rachel Wood has apparently had a makeover influenced heavily by her love, Marilyn Manson — as is made particularly obvious when seen alongside her The Life Before Her Eyes co-star — the blonde, tan (ie normal) Uma Thurman. In fact, it seems like Evan’s new look is being modeled after Manson’s ex-wife, Dita Von Teese:

Actress Lucy Liu attended the 2008 UNICEF and Esquire Nationwide “Tap Project” earlier this week, and was so very close to being absolute perfection. Perfect hair. Perfect makeup. Killer-yet-classy dress. To-die-for clutch. We could live without the Kaballah string… but what in the name of all that is beautiful and fab is she wearing on her feet?

Soleil Frye Moon, better known to most as Punky Brewster, gave birth yesterday to a baby girl, Jagger Joseph Blue Goldberg. This is her second child with husband Jason Goldberg. Jagger joins her 2 year old sister, Poet Sienna Rose, in the Hollywood club of “Children of Famous Parents with Odd Names.” Congrats Punky!
