Sarah Silverman actually has some good news to share this week!

So what if her five year relationship is over with ABC late night host, Jimmy Kimmel? Sarah Silverman has something to celebrate.

She was nominated for an Emmy! As for an ironic twist of fate: her nomination came for her funny and faux affair with Matt Damon which aired on Kimmel’s show that was represented in song, “I’m (beep) Matt Damon.”

The true “American Beauty,” Mena Suvari, will be hearing wedding bells. She recently became engaged to music producer and concert promoter Simone Sestito.

During their vacation to Jamaica, Sestito proposed on a seaside beach. The 29-year-old actress met her man last year at the Toronto Film Festival when she was promoting her film Stuck.

Remember comedian Andy Dick?

Well, now you may want to check out his mug shot since he was arrested on drug and sexual battery charges. He was very inebriated when he was arrested and later released on $5,000 bail from the jail. Officers responded to a call referencing a man urinating and creating a disturbance outside a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Murrieta, California.

He allegedly ran up behind a teenage girl and pulled down her tube top. Not so funny, Andy.

If you’ve been paying attention to the charts lately you may have noticed Jewel’s become a country princess with her album “Perfectly Clear.”

Can she do no wrong? The uber talented musician penned a book a poetry a while ago and has now catapulted up the charts to numero uno and yes, has given advice to aspiring country singer Jessica Simpson as well.

Jewel recently told People if she were to give Jess any advice it would be to “work hard and be authentic.” Although Jessica has been considered a pop princess, her first single in the country genre, “Come On Over” resided for five weeks on country charts. So far, so good.

Simpson’s country album will be released on September 9th and is a welcoming of sorts for Jessica who grew up in Texas and gets back to her country roots. Her father tells Us Weekly, “That’s our home, and that’s Jessica’s home.”

Ah, brotherly love. When you are down on your luck, the world is circling around you, it’s always good to know the fraternal sibling will be there.

Or, maybe not.

By now you may have heard that Christopher Ciccone, the Material Girl’s brother dished about her marriage to Guy Ritchie in his tome, “Life with My Sister Madonna.”

He wrote in the Mail, a UK newspaper over the weekend, “Their life together is sometimes difficult.”

With relatives like this, who needs enemies? Sheesh!

The picture above speaks a thousand words, unfortunately for Miss USA fans.

What do you get when you combine a beauty pageant with heels, the quest for world peace and a slippery stage? An unintended fall, that’s for sure.

Although Miss Venezuela was crowned Miss Universe 2008, the story was a bit bigger for Miss USA. Get this, this is the second consecutive year our representative fell down during the evening gown competition. Imagine her embarrassment only to find it on Youtube for all the world to see.

Maybe next year the USA can at least stay standing throughout the competition.

I attended the premiere and can tell you several things about SheKnows’ favorite “Closer.”

The intense and immaculate acting is intact as is Brenda’s ability to be both intelligent and scattered all at once. Remember those Hanson brothers from about a decade ago with their mega hit ‘Mmmmbop?’

Isaac Hanson and his wife are the proud parents of their second son, James Monroe. Born on July 1st, Monroe joins big brother Everett (actually it’s Clark Everett but the parents have decided to call their boys by their middle names.) Monroe and Everett are first cousins to John Ira Shepherd, the son of Isaac’s youngest brother Zac. As for their middle brother, Taylor? He has three children himself so the brood of six kids now encompasses the Hanson clan.
